JUKI TL-2000Qi Sewing and Quilting Machine - This is the machine I used to create the quilts in this book. I absolutely adore this machine! It has extra controls in the foot pedal that you typically only find in industrial machines. It is straight-stitch-only, which means you might need to keep around your old machine if you use decorative stitches, but it also means that it is rock-solid at what you will be doing 99% of the time - staight stitching! I love JUKI machines; I currently sew professionally on this industrial JUKI DDL-9000.
Fiskars 8” Heritage Seamstress Scissors - The real-deal Fiskars scissors still made in Finland; nothing like the “modern” Fiskars made in China. Gingher also makes great scissors if you need another option.
Gutermann Sew-All Thread: White - This is the thread I use for all my sewing! High quality, doesn't produce as much lint as other brands.
Omnigrip 5” Acrylic Square Ruler - Use with a rotary cutter and cutting mat for a fast and easy way to cut your squares instead of using the paper template. Any brand will ultimately work; Omnigrip is what I use.
9.5x9.5" Acrylic Square Ruler - Use with rotary cutter and cutting mat to cut your larger squares if you choose to not use the template.
Self-Healing Cutting Mat (12x18”) - Perfect to use with a 5” square ruler and rotary cutter, or just to protect your surface when cutting with scissors. Any brand will work.
OLFA 45mm Rotary Cutter - Use with acrylic square ruler and self-healing mat to easily cut 5” squares. OLFA has superior blade sharpness; I can’t recommend another brand.
